Offense struggles to find a rhythm

Lancaster dropped their 3rd straight with a 61-43 loss to Orchard Park. It was clear from the start that points were going to be hard to come by with Orchard Park's size posing some tough challenges for the Legends. In the 1st quarter Orchard Park's defense was able to protect the rim and keep Lancaster off the boards, limiting any second chance opportunities. Offensively Orchard Park was able to capitalize off missed shots by getting some easy put backs. The Legends trailed 21-10 at the end of the quarter. In the 2nd Lancaster was able to start hitting some baskets led by Jackson Jerebko who had all 9 of his points in the first half. However, Orchard Park was able to keep their lead by hitting some outside shots when Lancaster's defense would collapse into the paint to try and shut down their inside game. The Legend's trailed 35-26 at the half. In the second half Lancaster's struggles continued as they could not get anything going on offense. The few occasions were Lancaster would go on a 4-6 point run, Orchard Park would quickly respond with a run of their own to extend the lead. Orchard Park held Lancaster to 4 points in the 3rd quarter and took their lead to 16pts going into the final quarter. The Legend's kept fighting and got some solid play from guys coming off the bench including Ryan Merz, Adam Bagley and Jayden Brittingham. Noah Kimble continued to step up his scoring, leading Lancaster with 11pts. Jerebko had 9pts, 8rebs and 3 assists. Ryan Merz added 7pts, Matt Jandzinski had 6pts and Adam Bagley had 4pts. Sophomore Jayden Brittingham finished with 4pts and 5rebs. Lancaster has another tough test
