The LewPort Lancers came away with the victory behind some hot shooting from the start of the game until the last whistle. Jalen Duff led the Lancers with 40pts and was hitting shots from all over the court. In all LewPort made 12 3's and were almost perfect from the line. The first half saw a game of runs. Lancaster opened with an 8-2 lead but LewPort responded to take the lead at the end of the first quarter 17-14. In the 2nd quarter LewPort began to pull away and took the lead to 12. The Legends battled back with Channing Francis and Jason Mansell hitting some outside shots while Jackson Jerebko scored inside. It was a fast paced first half that saw LewPort holding a 36-33 lead at the end. The beginning of the second half saw LewPort continue their hot shooting and quickly regained a double digit lead. Again the Legends battled back to tie the game going into the final quarter 51-51. The start of the 4th was almost a replay of the start of the 3rd quarter. LewPort hit a pair of 3's quickly and then scored off a couple turnovers to open up another double digit lead. Lancaster was able to hit a few shots to chip away at the lead but ultimately came up short losing 78-69. Jerebko led the way with 21pts and 8rebs. Francis added 13pts and 5 boards. Mansell finished with 12pts 7rebs. Matt Jandzinski also scored 12pts and had 3stls. Junior Noah Kimble had 5pts and 7rebs. Dom Fulciniti rounded out the scoring with 6pts and added 10rebs, 7 assists. The Legends next game is Thursday at Frontier.
