Legends suffer first loss of year

Lancaster visited Jamestown today and came away empty handed as Jamestown defeated them 63-51. Jamestown's defense set the tone early and made baskets hard to come by for the Legends in the opening quarter. The 2nd quarter saw Jamestown heat up from the outside and pulled ahead by double digits. Lancaster was able to pull with in 2 at the half behind Jason Mansell getting to the basket and Ryan Merz knocking down a pair from behind the arc. However, in the 2nd half Jamestown started to flex their muscle and scored a number of baskets in the paint. Lancaster kept battling but ultimately fell short and suffering their first loss of the season (3-1). The Legends had balanced scoring with 4 players in double figures (Joe Harrington 11pts, Channing Francis 10pts, Mansell 12pts, Dom Fulciniti 10pts). Ryan Merz added 8pts. Lancaster will face Clarence Monday night at home.
