Legends move to 2-0 in the league!

Lancaster came into their game against Williamsville North looking to right the ship following a three game losing streak. After a slow first four minutes Lancaster was able to find a rhythm and pull away from the Spartans as the game went on.

Williamsville jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead and seemed to have all the energy. After a timeout Lancaster was able to regroup and settle down. They finished out the first quarter on a 16-3 run and led 16-9 after the 1st. In the second quarter Lancaster's defense really shined, as they held Williamsville to just 4 points in the quarter. Lancaster was able to get their hands on seemingly every pass and forced a number of turnovers. Noah Kimble recorded 5 steals in the first half. Junior Jack Harrington led the scoring with 12 points as Lancaster led 28-13 at the half.

The third quarter was much the same as Lancaster's defense again held Williamsville to just 4 points. The Legends had their best shooting performance, shooting 41% from 3s for the game and 55% overall. The third quarter closed with Lancaster leading 45-17.

In the fourth quarter Lancaster was on cruise control. They finished off Williamsville with a 56-28 victory to move to 2-0 in the league. Lancaster got contributions from a number of players including Seniors Jake Sarnowski, who grabbed 3 rebounds and a steal, and Ryan Andolina who knocked down a big three to set the tone in the second half. Juniors Matt Bauer and Zach Doering came in and were able to get a few steals and get in the scorebook. Jack Harrington led all scorers with 16 points and added 5 assists. Joe Harrington added 14 points and 5 rebounds. Kimble once again filled up the stat sheet with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 8 steals. Channing Francis had 6 points and 5 rebounds. Ryan Corcoran added 4 points and 6 steals. Andolina and Bauer each added 3 points and Doering rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

The Legends next game is Thursday and is a rematch of the opening game of the season in which Lancaster won. Lancaster will travel to West Seneca West for the 6:30 pm game.
