Game Recap: West Seneca West

Coming off a win against Williamsville North, that snapped Lancaster's losing streak, the Legends looked to continue the success against West Seneca West. It was a dominate performance that saw Lancaster in complete control from the opening tip to the final whistle.

In the 1st quarter Lancaster had their best shooting performance of any quarter all season. They missed only 4 shots in the quarter, and on 2 of those misses they were able to get rebound putbacks. The Legends jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead and carried that scoring momentum to a 26-12 lead at the end of the 1st.

In the 2nd quarter it was much of the same. Lancaster continued to hit shots and were able to turn West Seneca mistakes into baskets. Senior Ryan Andolina came off the bench and scored a quick 6 points in the quarter. The 1st half saw three Legend players score in double digits with Joe Harrington leading the way with 14 points. Channing Francis and Noah Kimble each had 11 points in the half, that ended with Lancaster leading 46-24.

The second half saw Lancaster keep the scoring pace as a number of players made baskets. In the 3rd quarter it was Kimble who hit 3 straight 3's to extend the lead. Everyone who stepped on the court found ways to contribute. You had Jake Sarnowski, Matt Mazur, Max Stoldt and Ryan Corcoran grabbing rebounds. Matt Bauer was dishing out assists, while Mark Sirianni, Eric Frys and Jack Harrington were playing solid defense. Senior Adam Gabryszak had a fantastic 2nd half, scoring 9 points and shooting 100% from the field. This was one of the most complete games Lancaster has played all season. Lancaster got scoring from 10 different players, and contributions from all. They shot 56% from the field, while going 9-19 from three. They also controlled the ball only giving up 10 turnovers.
