The Legends came out firing the 1st quarter in their league game against the Frontier Falcons despite being down two starters, Joe Harrington (who is out the rest of the season) and Dom Fulciniti. They were moving the ball around quickly and efficiently which resulted in a number of open shots they were able to hit. Lancaster hit three 3s in the opening quarter, 2 from Channing Francis and 1 from Ryan Merz. At the end of the 1st Lancaster was up 20-10. In the second quarter Lancaster continued to roll and took the lead to 14 before Frontier hit a couple shots in the last few seconds to close out the half, trailing 33-22. Jackson Jerebko and Francis accounted for 12 of Lancaster's 13 points in the second quarter. In the second half Frontier stepped up the defensive pressure and caused many turnovers. Lancaster was only able to score 15 points in the final two quarters. Frontier slowly chipped away at the lead by hitting a few outside shots and getting a number of points from the charity stripe. Going into the 4th Frontier was able to get the lead down to 4. Early in the 4th Jerebko had to come out the game after getting poked in the eye and was unable to return. Lancaster was only able to muster 5 points in the 4th quarter and Frontier was able to pull ahead with many second chance opportunities off offensive rebounds. In the end Frontier was able to come all the way back and pulled out the victory 53-48. The Legends were again led by Francis in scoring with 16pts and he added 5rebs. Jerebko finished with 8pts, 6rebs, 2blks. Junior Noah Kimble stepped off the bench to provide some scoring and finished with 8pts and 4rebs. Jason Mansell added 6pts and 5 assists. Ryan Merz added 5pts. Matt Jandzinski had 4pts and Jaydon Brittingham rounded out the scoring with 1pt. The Legends are 4-4 overall and fall to 3-3 in the league. They look to bounce back Saturday against Orchard Park. The game is at OP and tipoff is at 1:30.
